Hi! My name is Jennifer Doehring, and I'm an author/illustrator of a series of hiking journals, as well as picture books. Born and raised on the West Coast, I received my fine art degree from the University of California-Irvine, and I went on to open my own art studio called Palette Passions where I teach painting and drawing to students of all ages. My work is shown and sold in galleries both locally and internationally, as well as online.

I have a huge passion for travel. Immersing myself in other countries and their cultures helps me gain a respect and understanding that I try to bring to my work. I'm also a wanderlust fiend. I could live out in the woods in a tent and be perfectly happy. Backpacking is my favorite hobby and hitting the trails helps my creativity flourish. I currently live in southern California with my husband and my English bulldog Snickers.
