Stacey Byer is a Caribbean author-illustrator with a degree in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design. Stacey has illustrated many picture books for the educational and traditional publishing markets, working with publishers in the US and UK such as Harper Collins. Her 2025 author-illustrator debut Will and Krill received a review from the distinguished School Library Journal. She's a founding member of the Grenada Book Festival, where she develops creative programs and spaces so that children can create, explore and be themselves. This is part of Stacey's lifelong passion to promote literacy and creative learning in Grenada. She has spent many years working with different organisations such as Room to Read, UNDP and GIZ to create educational resources for local primary schools and to bring art to the classroom and community.
